vessel because it's at anchor can sound Morse "R" which
is short - long - short blasts on the ships whistle to tell you
your too close and probably on collision course
!!!

one on the left is a pilot vessel seen from astern (Underway)
or at anchor under 50 metres in length (Not Underway)
The
one on the right is a vessel engaged in fishing other that trawling
seen from astern (Making way) or with gear out more than 150 metres
on the surface (Underway but not Making way)
